We manage the Kyoto Fund, established by the 2007 Finance Act, to finance measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, aimed at implementing the Kyoto Protocol (Kyoto Law)
The resources made available total €600 million. For the first planning cycle, completed on 14 July 2012, the Kyoto Decree assigned €200 million, divided between “measures” and regional areas.
Resources which had not been used by the date of the entry into force of the “Growth Decree” have been earmarked for financing projects under the “Fund for the employment of young people in the green economy sector”.
The Fund provides subsidised loans for projects and initiatives in the green economy and in business sectors connected with making the country safer against flooding and earthquakes.
Subsidised loans for improving energy efficiency in public buildings used as schools – including nursery schools – and universities, and for public buildings used for art, music and dance training.
