A Territorial Agreement is an agreement between signatories to implement a programme of integrated initiatives to promote local development, in a regional area, in the sectors of industry, agriculture, fishing and aquafarming, the production of thermal energy or electricity from biomass, services, tourism (business initiatives) and in infrastructural facilities (infrastructure projects)
The Area Contract is the tool used to create an economic environment favourable to new entrepreneurial initiatives and job creation in the sectors of industry, agriculture, production of thermal energy or electricity from biomass, services and tourism.
In accordance the procedures established by the Ministry for Productive Activities (MAP) and within the limits of the amounts allocated by the Inter-Ministerial Economic Planning Committee (CIPE), beneficiaries are paid grants earmarked for the business initiatives and infrastructural projects contained in the approved and signed territorial agreements and area contracts.
